                            Welcome to the archives

                                                            January  2012

                                                  The New Year

It was fun. Yes the beach, yes the family dinner.  And what felt  best of all was giving a day to pitch in
with a handful of buddies,  with ladders and brushes,  and paint two coats on the outside of the house
of a suddenly redundant single woman, who is also a buddy.       A fun time, with lots of laughter.
Bless the person who invented the paint roller

                                                                The Problem Is...

A wise person once said that Problems are caused by Solutions.  It's never more so
than when a male tries to fix-it for his woman - instead of just listening  -
which is all that she wants

                                                              Bonnie Prince...

"Scots told of the high price of going it alone"Newspaper article on campaign for Scots Independence,
(by Coalition Leader Alex Salmond)  and the cost to all in the United Kingdom.
The last time one faction sought Independence was Two and a Half Centuries Ago
and the price was devastating for generations So is there now another Pretender
                                                    Bonnie Prince Salmond?

                                                Diogenes of Ancient Greece

Diogenes and his father were bankers. Banished from the city when he "defaced the currency"
he lived simply, in a barrel, with a diet of onions.
Alas Greece  Now going from  the Cradle of Civilisation to  the Grave of Capitalism.
Diogenes would turn in his barrel
